For some time now, I’ve wanted to take machine embroidery enthusiasts on a video tour of Kimberbell. Why?
Because I want you to get to know us better. I want to welcome you to our home base so you can meet the faces and see the spaces and better understand who we are and why we do what we do. After all, we consider you an extension of our Kimberbell family!
I wanted this tour to be spontaneous and completely unscripted so you could feel like you just popped in to see us on a typical day. As things turned out, a lot of our staff was gone to an event when we filmed, so the tour is a little quieter than it normally would be. (That’s what I get for spontaneity, I guess!) We thought of refilming on a day when the whole crew was there, but then COVID-19 put a wrench in that plan.
Speaking of which, I want to be perfectly clear that this tour was filmed before COVID-19 and social distancing. Please be assured that Kimberbell is following all CDC recommendations (as evidenced by the fact that I am writing this from my dining room and not from my desk at the office). Perhaps we’ll do another tour when life gets back to normal, but until then I hope you enjoy this peek into Kimberbell headquarters!
Please join me on this tour, keeping in mind that there’s a reason why I’m a professional writer and not a professional tour guide! But I’m hoping my informality will help you feel like I’m simply a friend inviting you in. Because, after all is said and done, that’s exactly what this is.
See you on the tour!
